Professional Background
Experience and teaching philosophy
Shannon graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA degree in Psychology. She received her elementary school teaching certificate for grades K- 6 from Western Connecticut State University. In addition, Shannon holds a Master's Degree in Reading. Shannon teaches various levels of English courses. She also teaches writing and grammar. Shannon was a 4th-grade teacher for several years and enjoys working with children. Education isn't just about what students learn, but about learning how to learn. Education is key to empowering today's youth, so they'll feel confident in their future careers, relationships, and duties as members of their community.
