Course Introduction
- Based on CA State Standards with differentiated instruction based on student needs.
- Each session covers specific phonics, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing skills.
- By attending a total of 30 sessions, students will master all skillsets required by CA State Standards.
- Reading and writing skills will be taught with direct and explicit instruction to enhance the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills.
- All readings are selected by teaching experts to target specific reading strategies, reading fluency, and reading comprehension skills.
- Ample opportunities for students to discuss and write in response to texts to foster deeper understanding of the reading content.
Class Structure
- Classes assigned to teachers with the most grade-level experience and subject-specific knowledge.
- Each class has no more than 4 students.
- Classes delivered through interactive Zoom meetings.
- Homework provided for each session.
- For G1 and above, feedback will be provided on all assignments.
