Jack, Robbie, and George plan to sneak into the abandoned "Palm House" on Halloween to test for ghosts. After detention and convincing parents (Robbie brings his brother Carl), they break in with ghost equipment. The calm ends when an EMF reader alarms, objects shatter, and threats emerge, leaving Robbie unconscious in suspense.
